The Fear Project Part 1 version 1 Fear and a brief discussion...

Fear is an intensely unpleasant emotion in response to perceiving or recognizing a danger or threat. Fear causes psychological changes that may produce behavioral reactions such as mounting an aggressive response or fleeing the threat. Fear in human beings may occur in response to a certain stimulus occurring in the present, or in anticipation or expectation of a future threat perceived as a risk to oneself. The fear response arises from the perception of danger leading to confrontation with or escape from/avoiding the threat (also known as the fight-or-flight response), which in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) can be a "freeze response".

Fear is closely related to the emotion Anxiety, which occurs as the result of often future threats that are PERCEIVED to be Now understand this……..often future threats that are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable. That is very much different than anxiety. Anxiety I will cover in part two and once again, I think I’ve opened Pandora’s box. There are so many many different interpretations, Fearing, fight or flight, phobias, I’m gonna try and break it down for you. You Must Understand, although I studied psychology and sociology, in college, and although I have, I would promise you a great deal of experience ,and Education, I am not a credentialed, counselor of psychology or psychiatry more specifically. And believe me, it’s tough reading. It is certainly at the university educational level, Material and information. However, I guarantee that if you do the research follow the links off of Wikipedia that I’ve listed above and below, I’m also going to try and put in a QR code so you can instantly go to the site I will make every effort to quote my sources and validate MY OPINION….. MY OPINION …. !!! My opinion will primarily be based off of my own personal experiences and attempt to identify this concept of fear versus anxiety in the plethora of other issues associated with human behavior. It’s going to be a fascinating ride. Do you understand what I mean? I would need to have a MINIMUM, of a masters degree in psychiatry / psychology, and have a credentialed teaching certificate and counseling credentials from the State of Utah, to be able to offer rock solid quotable information.

In psychologyGrandiosity is a sense of superiorityuniqueness, or invulnerability that is unrealistic and not based on personal capability. It may be expressed by exaggerated beliefs regarding one's abilities, the belief that few other people have anything in common with oneself, and that one can only be understood by a few, very special people.  The personality trait of grandiosity is principally associated with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), but also is a feature in the occurrence and expression of antisocial personality disorder, and the manic and hypomanic episodes of bipolar disorder

A note from the author :

Please understand, the video that is presented here, the various photos of my past, are intended to display some of the challenging events of my life. You likely noticed the various military awards and commendations. What most of you don't know, is that I was only 17 years old at the time I was sent off to the US Army Basic Training. I can assure you that most certainly I experienced fear at that time. I had to have my parents sign a waiver. I believed that did extremely well during Basic Training. Know one would believe how old I was. There are other photos' in the video of me doing quite well scuba diving, demolition derbys, theater arts etc. etc. Just know that I am in no way desiring to boast or display pride or anything like that. Nevertheless, I do know fear very well. At times this fear had nearly devastated me. There will be more content coming with "The Fear Project". Then, I intend to compare natural fear against irrational fear, phobias , and especially Anxiety. There is an enormous amount of material. Conditioned Fear is also content that I intend to examine. But please check the links and references that I will list. I have already discovered that the information that I am researching, IS , fairly difficult to comprehend. However, you may learn some things about yourself that will be helpful for us all.
